  This is probably my favorite place up in the ADKs. We stop here almost every time after a long hike.

  We always love Big Slide. My husband enjoys the beer and the food is always unique and tasty.
  We had something new on the menu - the fried chickpeas with zatar and olive oil. OMG it's our new favorite snack food!  The flavor is perfect and the chickpeas were crunchy and delicious. My husband was pleasantly surprised.
  We each had the broccoli cheddar about which was super delicious and filling. Luckily we shared the chicken sandwich because had we both ordered a main course we wouldn't be able to finish it!  
  Lots of dogs hanging outside so we will bring our Havanese next time.
  Our server was sweet and attentive.
  Can't wait to go back!

  This is my second time here but definitely my last. After waiting one hour to be seated, we order apps, dinner and drinks all at the same time. Drinks come out quickly. Bonus. After 45 minutes with no explanation or checking in, apps are still not out. With many tables looking to the open air kitchen with a mix of disdain and confusion, I get our waitress' attention and ask for a status of our apps. She tells me that the kitchen is backed up but she will ask them and let us know. After another 10 minutes she does not come back, I get her attention. At that time I let her know that we are about to walk out. At the same time two other tables are doing the same thing. She walks away and after ten minutes she comes back with our apps. Only ten minutes later our food arrives.
  
  While the food quality is outstanding. The wait time and apathy toward the fact that they can't handle the volume of business is unacceptable. At one point the woman making pizza actually blamed the hostess for seating too many tables at once.
  
  There is too much wait staff and not enough cooks in the kitchen. A lot of finger pointing and angry patrons leave a bad taste in the mouths of everyone paying good-earned money for their meals.
  
  So, long story short, with all the other options in Lake Placid, avoid the Big Slide at all costs. The manager obviously does not have control of the kitchen, nor does he care about what the patrons feel about their experience.

  Great brewery.  The Apricot Hefe was amazing !  The crowler was perfect to bring back to our campsite.
  Next time we are in the area we will definitely have to stop here for dinner.

  I really liked this pub house and brewery both times that I frequented it. It is conveniently located within walking distance to the airport. I love that they allow dogs on the patio. The entrance is kind of hidden around back and dogs aren't allowed through the building. Sitting outside was great but some people near us warned us of a recently broken glass which we alerted the server to since we didn't want our pup to get cut. Service and food were great. Pizza (gluten free and glutenous) and apps are great.
